It’s looking like a beautiful crisp fall evening so the ceremony will likely be held outside! We recommend bringing a shawl. We will also have blankets available.

our story

Sam and Matt grew up just 20 minutes apart in the Philadelphia suburbs. They shared much in common as art students, lovers of obscure films and moody indie music. While Sam went to Georgetown and Matt to Stanford, their passion for Italy brought them to study abroad in Florence. After college, Matt was living in Georgetown only a few blocks from Sam. Despite all of these amazing coincidences, their paths never crossed. A few years later and 2,400 miles across the country, Sam and Matt were both living in San Francisco, where remarkably, they finally met and discovered just how much they shared. Their first date turned into an entire weekend together, and they've been inseparable ever since. Today, they live in Brooklyn with their tuxedo cat, Teddy, and their golden retriever, Rylan.

hotels

We are so excited to celebrate with you and grateful to those traveling for our wedding weekend! We have discounted room blocks reserved at two hotels and encourage you to book as soon as possible. The Logan Hotel is in the city, close to many of Philadelphia’s top historic attractions. Hotel West & Main is in the heart of Conshohocken, a vibrant suburb. Both hotels are roughly equidistant from the wedding venue and transportation will be provided to and from the wedding for both hotels. The Sunday brunch for out-of-town guests is at West & Main.

things to do

For those in Philadelphia, highlights include the Barnes Foundation’s renowned art collection, the bustling Reading Terminal Market, the Philadelphia Museum of Art – be sure to walk the Rocky steps for the view back over the city and walk down Boathouse Row (where Matt used to row in high school). History lovers can visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and for something more low-key, grab a coffee and pastry from K’far (by renowned local Chef Mike Solomonov) or fried chicken and donuts from Federal Donuts before taking a stroll through Rittenhouse Square.

If you’re staying in Conshohocken, you’ll find plenty right outside Hotel West & Main: walk or bike the Schuylkill River Trail, explore the restaurants and cafés along Fayette Street, or stop into Conshohocken Brewing Company for a local beer. If you venture a little further into the Main Line, some of our favorites are Up-Ryes for bagels, Homeroom for an espresso and delicious labneh yogurt with homemade jam, and Carlino’s or Di Bruno Brothers for gourmet Italian specialties.
